We were pleasantly surprised by the excellent location of the hotel, right in the center of town near the famous Yubatake. The convenience of being close to eateries, shops, and attractions made exploring the area so much easier.
While the hotel had its charms, there were a few drawbacks worth mentioning. The internet connection was unreliable, with an announcement at the reception stating that it wasn't working.

We loved the location of this hotel! It was very central and close to all the main attractions in the area. The onsen was beautiful and very authentic. We also appreciated how friendly and accommodating the staff was, especially when we struggled to communicate in Japanese. Lastly, the traditional yukata provided were so cute and comfortable to wear around the hotel.
Everything great.

The New Year's package at this hotel was a great deal. The onsen spa was a highlight, and being able to use it almost 24 hours a day was fantastic. The Japanese style breakfast was delicious and filling. The hotel's central location allowed for easy access to souvenir shops, restaurants, and several nearby attractions.
The rooms were a bit dated, and the decor could use some refreshing. The outdoor onsen spa was smaller than expected.
